Let's hear it for technology! I am actually getting a Christmas greeting out for the first time in years. It must be because our youngest is in kindergarten and life is settling down a bit.
What am I saying? This has probably been the busiest year ever but I have loved it. My latest and greatest hobby is going to our children's soccer games. I have never been to so many soccer games in my life. This year, all six of our children played which was challenging but great. That is what we do. Soccer, soccer, soccer. For the most part, the weather was either freezing cold, snowing, blowing or roasting hot. It just adds to the excitement of the game, I guess.
So, as geeky as it may seem, we took our family picture in the place we have spent most of the year--on the pitch. Even John (dad) was able to play in an old people's league and made some outstanding goals. The boys haven't watched him play much but they did enjoy yelling all of the stuff he yells at them during the game (i.e. "Don't stab, push it, watch your line...")
I think other things happened this year but they happened in between games and seasons so they just blended in with all of the soccer stuff. The one thing I know for sure is that we have been extremely blessed. We feel so grateful for blessings big and small. We are grateful for our wonderful family and friends who are so good to us.
We are especially grateful to our Savior, Jesus Christ and for His sacrifice for us. We recognize that Heavenly Father is aware of each one of us and helps us along the way--every day.
May you continue to be blessed as you go about doing good. Thanks for your great examples.
With Love,
The Knudsens
